Re: Any Coonhunters?
I use to coon hunt about 30 years ago but slowly started doing other things and just plan old quit, i think i got more into the duck and goose hunting thing and also the deer hunting thing. Am deer hunting now just waiting for the evening run for them, we are getting some snow right now and has been snowing since yesterday so the temps have dropped. Were sitting with temps in the teens here with wind chills in the single digits (5 degrees) tonight there talking - digit wind chills so the deer will be moving. What kinda gun do you use for coon hunting i use to use a 22 just plain old simple it was. Welcome to the board.

Thanks for the welcome!
I use a Ar-7 its very light and accurate. I love that little 22' its the take down type that is supposed to be water proof within the butt of the weapon but its not! I opened it after chasing hounds through a swamp one time and it was full of water lol. It never gets below 15f here so that single digit stuff I will leave up to yall lol.

First off, welcome to the board, James! We're glad to have you as a member on the board. Myself, I haven't ever been coon hunting. Years ago, I used to own two English Blue-Tick hounds. They were very nice dogs. The female was a big baby and the male, well, let's say that any one coming on our property better have good reason for it LOL.. If we weren't home, he would NOT let them get up to the porch LOL... So, they're not only good hunting dogs, but make good family and watch dogs LOL...
