This is about damn time news, should have been doing this a long time ago and i don't give a damn if your a farmer there are laws and they are for everyone.

Minnesota motorists could soon seen flashing lights in their rear view mirror for driving too slowly.

Under current law, drivers are not allowed to hold up traffic in the left lane. But Rep. Joe Hoppe, R-Chaska, noticed the law isn't enforced.

He proposed an amendment to fine pokey drivers $50.

The money would fund drivers training programs and the offense would not go on a driver's record.

The amendment doesn't define how slow is too slow.

Hoppe said the point of the amendment is not to set a speed marker, but to get folks interfering with the traffic flow out of the way.

He admits the problem has less to do with public safety, and more to do with helping frustrated drivers.

"If nothing else people are talking about it, if we make people more aware and educate the public, that's great," said Hoppe.

The proposed amendment passed the Minnesota House of Representatives Tuesday. It will move on to a conference committee.

State Patrol officials, whose troopers would enforce any new law, said it is too early in the legislative process for them to comment.

Here is a video for this also.

I am glad to hear this. There is nothing that pisses me off more than someone going 35 in a 55mph speed zone. OR when they turn in front of you and then drive slow.... I wish they would start ticketing slow drivers here.
